Interim Inventory Accountant (Hybrid – San Antonio)

A large San Antonio client is seeking an Interim Inventory Accountant for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role will be onsite Monday–Thursday and remote on Fridays . The scope is evolving, so the ideal candidate must be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Post daily sales, inventory, food cost, and theoretical cost transactions

• Monitor purchase orders and transfers for timely approval, escalating issues when necessary

• Review transfers to non-restaurant units (e.g., Marketing, Food Truck) and prepare visibility reporting

• Reconcile above-store operational reporting (MX-Fourth Analytics-PRS dashboard)

• Develop waste tracking using new reporting tools and review count adjustment entries for errors

• Audit recipe depletions to ensure theoretical cost accuracy

• Support period close tasks and reconcile inventory transfers between RTT and non-RTT units

• Provide daily support to operations while adapting to new priorities as scope expands

Qualifications:

• Strong accounting background with reconciliations and operational reporting experience

• Analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing needs

• Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems

• Collaborative and patient communicator
