Starting Wage: $98,196 to $115,398 based on qualifications/experience

POSITION SUMMARY
Works under the broad policy guidance and direction of the City Attorney. Performs entry to journey level professional duties as required to carry out the efficient and effective litigation of civil or criminal cases and the ongoing legal processes of city government. Represents Kaysville City in assigned legal matter as a plaintiff or defendant. May provide supervision to support staff assigned to the Legal Department on a project-by-project basis.

Physical: Typical office setting with appropriate climate controls. Tasks require variety of physical activities, not generally involving muscular strain, such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing and seeing. Common eye, hand, finger dexterity exist. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, discriminating thinking and creative problem solving. Periodic travel required in normal course of job performance. Position subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
