Bankruptcy Attorney – Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $125,000 and up depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, in-office (potential to transition to a hybrid schedule once established)

Overview:
An established and reputable law firm in the Phoenix area is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to lead and manage its consumer bankruptcy practice. This is a key leadership role ideal for a motivated attorney with at least five years of hands-on bankruptcy experience and a strong understanding of both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. The firm offers a supportive environment, a steady flow of client work, and the opportunity to shape and grow the bankruptcy department.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the firm’s bankruptcy group, managing attorneys and support staff as needed
  • Handle a caseload of consumer bankruptcy matters from intake through discharge, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings
  • Provide legal counsel to clients regarding bankruptcy options and alternatives
  • Draft, review, and file all required documents and pleadings with accuracy and timeliness
  • Represent clients in hearings, trustee meetings, and court appearances
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable bankruptcy laws, regulations, and local court rules
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on practice growth, process improvement, and team development initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Arizona (in good standing)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing consumer bankruptcy law
  • Demonstrated experience handling both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases
  • Proven leadership and management experience within a legal team or department
  • Excellent communication, client service, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
