Job Title: Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeper) – Surgery Center
Location: Geneva, NY 14456
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Perks: No weekends or holidays required!

Pay rate: $16.50/hr.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented  Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeper)to join our Surgery Center team! This role is critical in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You'll play an important part in supporting surgical services by ensuring all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (burnisher, auto scrubber, rotary scrubber, vacuum, etc.) safely and effectively.
• Follow infection control, safety, and PPE policies to protect against exposure to hazardous substances.
• Use proper body mechanics and safety practices, including correct use of “wet floor” signs and ergonomics.
• Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including beds, restrooms, furniture, and fixtures.
• Restock supplies and promptly remove trash and linen.
• Safely handle and dispense cleaning chemicals according to procedures.
• Respond to emergency pages and assist in maintaining a safe, hazard-free environment.
• Complete assigned tasks thoroughly and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Minimum: None required
  • Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
  • Minimum: None required
  • Preferred: Previous hospital housekeeping or environmental services experience
