Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced and nationally certified Medical Technologists (MTs) to provide Sterile Tech services at the VA Central California Health Care System. This is a full-time contract position for a one-year term.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile processing duties including decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with hospital infection control standards.
• Collaborate closely with medical staff to ensure all sterilization processes meet patient care standards.

Qualifications:

• National certification as a Medical Technologist (MT).
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in:
  • Chemistry
  • Urinalysis
  • Blood Bank
  • Hematology
  • Coagulation
  • Microbiology

Compensation:

Local Compensation Plan:

• Base Pay: $28/hour (Taxable)
• Health & Wellness: $5.14/hour
• Total Compensation: $33.14/hour ($1,325.60 weekly)

Travel Compensation: Not applicable
