Key Responsibilities, Requirements, and Misc Of Note:

  • Building system concepts and documentation process from schematics through construction administration phases.
  • Experience with central plants, hydronic, steam/ VRF and energy recovery systems.
  • Working knowledge of building and building system codes (IBC, IECC, IMC, ASHRAE standards and NFPA standards.
  • Proficient in Revit, building load and energy modeling software (OEI uses Trane Trace 700), Bluebeam, AutoCAD
  • Design mechanical systems, air and water side and related controls.
  • Possess general working knowledge of different mechanical systems; stay up to date on industry advancements including best-practices for applicability.
  • Supervise the installation of the designed systems and equipment.
  • Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses.
  • Attend client meetings and represent the mechanical interests of the firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 7+ years of experience designing mechanical HVAC systems for commercial buildings, health care and federal projects.
  • PE License required, LEED accreditation a plus.
  • This role will require occasional travel to project sites.
