Position Summary

The Consumer Engagement & Analytics team is helping lead the effort to drive improved consumer experience by partnering with key business areas across CVS Health to deliver impactful analytic products and insights. As a member of the Price and Promotion Analytics team, you will be at the forefront of delivering high visibility products for key CVS Retail strategic priorities. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to drive traffic, revenue and customer satisfaction in CVS Healths Front Store business using data science to optimize pricing and promotions decisions.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Solve complex problems, leverage large datasets, and build scalable and deployment ready models that work well with CVS Retails diverse product portfolio. Guide the modeling approach, design and deploy end-to-end solutions utilizing Operations Research (OR), econometric modeling, and forecasting along with the functional team leads.
• Partner with the Data Engineering team to architect scalable and failproof production pipelines, define the unified technical vision, and set standards.
• Stay up to date on the stateoftheart modeling methodologies, initiate, lead, and inspire Research and Development efforts, define longterm technical vision and strategic roadmap.
• Act as a consultant who translates complex requirements and data science findings into decisionready narratives for crossfunctional teams.
• Mandate and champion rigorous performance validation.
• Provide advanced technical mentorship, proactively identify critical organizational skill gaps, and standardize hiring processes.

We are looking for talented individuals who have a strong sense of ownership, accountability and a desire to deliver high quality endtoend intuitive and impactful analytic products using advanced datadriven approaches.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive work experience in retail, consulting, or a related field as an individual contributor (applied data science) with at least 3 years in a lead capacity.
• Strong foundation and demonstrated experience designing and deploying largescale optimization problems to production.
• Strong Python, R, and SQL skills, proficiency in working with large datasets.
• Experience working with a data engineering/MLOps team to productionize data science models, familiarity with version control (GitLab or GitHub), and ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Databricks, GCP Vertex AI, etc.).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills and attention to detail. Worked in an agile environment, has the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
• Proven experience influencing organizational strategy and driving change across business, product, and engineering organizations.
• Proven experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying advanced price and promotion optimization solutions at scale.
• Indepth understanding of merchandising (price, promotion, assortment) concepts and metrics in retail.
• Experience with managing largescale projects and working with multiple business stakeholders.
• Proven record of intellectual property generation or public representation of technical work.

Education

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, operations research, applied mathematics, or a related field. PhD preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $144,200.00 - $288,400.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or shortterm incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the companys equity award program.
