Job Title: R&D Scientist – Sports Science Institute
Location: 100 E Stevens Ave., Valhalla, NY 10595
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible)
Pay Rate: $45/hour
We are seeking an experienced R&D Scientist to join a world-renowned sports science research team based in Valhalla, NY . The successful candidate will support a growing initiative focused on athlete health and performance, particularly through hydration and nutrition research .
This role is integral to the clinical research program and will involve laboratory-based responsibilities, including biofluid sample analysis, biochemistry support , and lab equipment maintenance . The selected candidate will work in a collaborative, high-performance environment and contribute directly to cutting-edge applied science aimed at improving human performance.
Execute clinical research studies at the research facility’s laboratory.
Act as the Biochemistry Technician for the clinical research program.
Responsible for handling and analyzing biological fluid samples (e.g., sweat, blood, urine).
Maintain laboratory standards, ensure accurate operation of lab equipment, and troubleshoot when necessary.
Support protocol adherence and ethical standards in human research conduct.
Master’s degree (M.S.) in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field .
At least 2 years of laboratory technician experience (can include M.S. thesis-related work).
Proven experience in biofluid sample handling and laboratory analytics.
Skilled in wet lab techniques including pipetting, ELISA, and ion chromatography.
Strong organizational skills and lab documentation practices.
Self-motivated with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Must be adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic research environment .
Willingness to work non-traditional hours (early mornings, ~15–20% of the time) as study protocols require.
