Job Description

MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A LOADER/UNLOADER IN A WAREHOUSE SETTING

Connect Staffing is looking to hire an experienced Loader and Unloader for a Furniture Company located in the city of Puyallup, Washington.

1st shift: Monday - Saturday 4:30 am start time (overtime will vary)

Requirements of the loader and unloader:

Minimum of three years previous experience as a loader/unloader manually
Able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and /or in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.
Ability to stand for long periods of times
Able to occasionally lift 35-50 lbs. from floor to waist; lift 50-80 lbs. from waist to shoulders; and push / pull up to 100 lbs.
Frequently carry in excess of 50 lbs.
Able to rotate to other work in the zone, department or any part of Distribution as required
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
Ability to speak English (required)
Experience with Palletizing, general labor, loading, unloading, warehouse is a huge plus!

Responsibilities of the loader and unloader:

Follows verbal or written instructions, such as bills of materials, shipping documents, or production schedules
Safely moves and stacks materials in and about the warehouse, staging area, trailers, etc
Manually load and unload by hand outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles
Often works for extended periods moving/loading materials or finished goods by hand
May also involve use of bar code readers, computer terminals or other electronic devices to track product
