Job Description: Job Title: COBOL Programmer - Consultant Location: Onsite in Blythewood, SC 29016 (100% onsite through probationary period, then option for Hybrid schedule. Local or regional location SC, GA, NC will be preferred.) Duration: 12 months contract (with possible extension) Job Summary:

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze the Phoenix II, Web Service, and Batch Business Applications. Take the lead in analyzing and troubleshooting assigned system problems. Propose solutions. Code, test, promote, and interact with impacted users ensuring that solutions meet requirements. Provide daily and weekly status updates to the Development Manager. Required Skills (ranked in order of importance): Development with MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL in Windows Server 2019/2022, batch, and under IIS. Development using Visual Studio 2019/2022, including the ability to use the debugger. Application programming against RDBMS (Oracle, SQL). Preferred Skills (ranked in order of importance): Ability to write complex queries using SQL for Oracle and MS SQL databases. IIS configuration/setup. Microsoft C# .NET.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Prefer Bachelors Degree in Information Technology related discipline with 8 years of experience or minimum 10 years related experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

Not required but MS technical certifications will be factored in the selection process. MICROFOCUS certifications are a significant advantage.
