Description:
As a communications intern, you will work alongside the communications and events team to support various marketing and communications functions on behalf of the Minnesota Hospital Association. The intern participates in a wide variety of support services to gain practical knowledge of communications and events functions. Applying a friendly, customer-service-oriented approach to all aspects of the job is a must
1. Writing: assist with drafting media materials, member communications, and social media content.
2. Database support: maintain media and member lists.
3. Research: Track media coverage, research trends, and organize information.
4. Event communications and support: assist with planning, promotion and other support for MHA events.
5. Project tracking: Maintain and update MHA project management documents and work with teams to keep projects up to date.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, to support MHA mission.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
6. Proficient in AP Style.
7. Some design experience.
8. Some video editing experience.
