This position is for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nephrologist to join a hybrid outpatient/inpatient practice at University Health in San Antonio, Texas. The role involves providing clinical care, supervising advanced practice providers, and optionally participating in teaching and research activities. Nephrologist Opportunity – Hybrid Outpatient/Inpatient Practice

University Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nephrologist to join our expanding program in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. As one of the most respected public health systems in the country, this role offers a balanced 4 week + 1 week hybrid schedule between outpatient and inpatient care in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

This is a full-time position focused on clinical excellence with optional involvement in resident/fellow and medical student education. It is a perfect blend of academic and private practice settings.

Position Highlights:

  • Outpatient Practice (Monday–Friday)
    • 80% clinic and 20% dialysis (both home and in-center)
    • Well-established patient base with strong support staff
    • Supervision and collaboration with experienced nephrology APPs
  • Inpatient Service (Monday–Friday)
    • Daily rounding on nephrology patients
    • Supervision and collaboration with experienced nephrology APPs
  • Night and weekend Call
    • 1 in 5
  • Administrative Time Provided
    • Dedicated time for documentation, patient messages, and care coordination

Additional Opportunities:
