In this position, you will inspect and repair the rigging on a variety of boats at a full-service boat yard. We use Marine Travelifts to haul out and set down boats. You will perform key repair and maintenance tasks, such as identifying problems in sailboat rigging (standing and running) and repairing them. You will also work on mast electronics and other boating components. The role requires a deep understanding of boat mechanics and repair skills. It often involves going aloft on sailboat masts, so a fear of heights is a must. While formal marine training at a technical school is preferred, we may consider candidates without this background.
